Description
This is a row of four terraced houses with later shops, dating from the early 18th century. The houses are built of multi-coloured brick, with slate mansard roofs that include dormers. They are three storeys high with attics, and each house has two windows. The ground floor has 19th-century shopfronts that have been altered in the 20th century. Sash windows are set within segmental brick arches, with the red brick arches finely gauged. Number 83 is recessed and has stucco reveals, number 85 is recessed, and number 87 is flush with exposed boxing. A continuous brick cornice runs along the parapets. Brick stacks with decorative pots are centrally placed. The interiors were not inspected but are noted to have panelling on the upper floors. Number 89 was restored in 1989.
