Description

These are two semi-detached cottages located on Well Road, Camden. They were originally built in the early 18th century, with entrance extensions added in 1952. The cottages are constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings. They have slated mansard roofs, and Providence Corner has a dormer window. Each cottage has two storeys and three windows. The doorways are in a 20th-century Georgian style, featuring bracketed hoods and panelled doors with overlights. The former doorway of Providence Corner has been blocked, and the doorway of Cannon Cottage has been altered to a French window. The recessed sash windows have gauged red brick flat arches with exposed boxing; the ground-floor windows of Providence Corner have keystones. The cottages have parapets. The interiors were not inspected. Cannon Cottage was initially listed in 1974.
