Description
Lavender Cottage is a 16th-century house that features a timber frame and plaster exterior. It has cross wings that project out on the first floor at both the north and south ends. The building is two storeys high, and the windows are primarily double-hung sashes with glazing bars and louvred shutters, although there are some casement windows as well. The entrance includes a six-panel door with raised and fielded panels, framed by a wooden doorcase with pilasters and an open pediment. The roof is tiled and features a chimney stack with a square base and a diagonal shaft.
