Description
No 122A, The Old Post Office, and No 123A are a pair of late 19th century red brick houses located on The Street in Little Thurlow. These houses are one storey with attics and feature gabled wings that project at both the north and south ends. Each house has a four-window range, with mullioned and transomed casements that are adorned with moulded brick hood moulds. The roofs are thatched and include two gabled dormers in the central part. The gables of the wings and the dormers are decorated with cut and shaped ornamental bargeboards. Additionally, there are three chimney stacks with diagonal shafts. These buildings are included for their group value with other nearby structures such as Lavender Cottage, the Cock Inn, and Street Farmhouse.
