Description
Manor Farmhouse is a 17th-century brick house that has been colourwashed. It stands two storeys high, featuring three windows on the first storey and four on the ground storey. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in flush cased frames, and are accompanied by louvred shutters. There are blocked bulls eye windows in the gables, and the ground storey windows have segmental arched recessed panels above them. A raised brick band runs between the two storeys. The entrance has a wooden doorcase with deep panelled reveals, pilasters, and an open pediment. The roof is tiled and includes one central gabled dormer, along with a red brick chimney stack that has a moulded brick base. Manor Farmhouse is part of a group that includes Old House, Gurton Barn, Trudgetts, 120 The Street with 116E - 116F The Square, Lavender Cottage, Cock Inn, The Old Post Office, 123 and 123A The Street, Street Farmhouse, and Corner Cottage.
