Description
The Cangle County Primary School is a school building constructed in 1876 and extended in 1886 by Frank Whitmore. Originally designed in an L-shape, it was enlarged to form an E-plan. The building is made of red brick and features slate roofs.
The exterior showcases a single-storey west front with five gabled projections, each containing three cusped lancets, with the central lancet being taller. The second gable from the north has sash windows without glazing bars, indicating the headmistress's house. To the south, there is a square clock tower, with clock faces positioned under gablets at the base of a polygonal spire. Further wings extend to the north and south from the center, with the headmaster's house located at the east end of the south wing. The interior has not been inspected.
