Description

This ha-ha, built in the early 19th century, is located 80 yards south of the rotunda at Ickworth House. It features a segmental plan that stretches 250 yards long, with short returns at each end that extend northward. The structure is made of gault brick with limestone copings. Central stone steps lead down from a raised terrace into the garden, which are flanked by solid balustrading adorned with gadrooned urns at both the top and bottom. This ha-ha holds group value with Ickworth House.
