Description
1 and 2 Honey Hill is a pair of adjoining houses designed as one, built in the early 19th century. The buildings are two storeys tall with attics, constructed of white brick and topped with a slate roof. The front features a wide brick gable with stone copings and an acroterion at each end, which supports a stone urn. The apex of the gable is missing its urn, leaving only the base. A stone band runs along the base of the gable, featuring a brick dentil cornice that extends around the side walls just below the eaves.
The façade has three windows arranged in a 1:1:1 pattern. The smaller central window is set within a large semicircular arched recess in the brickwork, while the two outer windows on each storey are 16-pane sashes with plain reveals, flat gauged arches, and projecting stone sills. The central window is a 12-pane sash with a segmental-arched head. The two paired central doors are six-panel designs, each accessed by two steps, and feature wooden doorcases with eared architraves and a continuous cornice supported by console brackets. The interior has not been inspected.
