Description

10 The Sounds is a house dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It has one-and-a-half storeys and attics, with a three-cell plan that originally featured a lobby entrance. The building is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a thatched clasped purlin roof that includes eyebrow casement dormers and an axial chimney made of red brick. The windows are mainly 19th-century small-pane casements. To the left, there is a 19th-century brick and pantiled lean-to extension that has a 20th-century boarded entrance door.
