Description

The granary cartshed, located 60 metres south west of Place Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features a 4-bay open cartshed with a granary above. The structure is timber-framed and weatherboarded, sitting on a red brick plinth. It has a half-hipped roof covered with plain tiles. The main oak members of the building have been reused from a 16th-century structure, likely from Hawstead Place or one of its associated buildings.
