Description
Cranford is a house dating from around 1800, with later alterations from the 19th century. It stands two storeys tall with attics and features three windows, along with a mid-19th century extension to the right that is one window wide. The exterior is finished with rough-cast rendered masonry, and the roof is covered with plaintiles, featuring gabled dormers with plaintiled sash windows and end chimneys made of gault brick. The first floor has early 19th century small-pane sash windows, while the extension includes a hood-moulded casement window with Gothic-style cusping. On the ground floor, there are 19th century hipped plaintiled bay windows with sashes that have large panes. The entrance door is early 19th century, consisting of six fielded panels, and above it is an early 20th century bay French window with a balcony supported by fretted brackets. The building is included for its group value.
