Description

No. 18 Bury Road is a cottage built around 1840 in the Gothick style. It has two storeys and features two windows. The structure is made of red brick with white brick dressings and has a slated roof topped with white brick chimneys that have circular shafts with moulded caps and bases. The windows are wrought iron casements with two arched-headed lights, incorporating diamond and hexagonal panes. A prominent feature is the large two-storey gabled porch, which has a moulded bargeboard with a spike finial. The entrance door is panelled with a four-centred head and is protected by a brick hood-mould. Additionally, there is a quatrefoiled window on the first floor with leaded glazing.
