Description
Coldham Hall Farmhouse is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is two storeys high, constructed from timber framing that is rendered and features herringbone pargetting in panels. The roof is plain tiled and has axial chimneys made of red brick. The windows are 19th-century small-pane casements with mullions and transoms. The entrance door is also from the 19th century, made of boarded and battened wood, and is framed with an architrave and pediment. Many of the framing members are re-used from a 16th-century building. The entire first floor appears to have been built as one space in the late 17th century, possibly serving as a non-domestic outbuilding for Coldham Hall before being converted into cottages in the 19th century and then into a single house around 1970. The farmhouse is included for its group value.
