LITTLE THURLOW Pound Green Little Thurlow Hall

(Formerly listed as Little Thurlow Hall, LITTLE THURLOW)

II A large mid C19 buff coloured brick house. A brick in the south of the porch bears the date 1847. It comprises a ruin block with a slightly lower wing extending to the north. Two storeys. The main block is five window range on each of the east and west fronts and two window range on the south side. The wing is three window range. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in plain reveals. The first storey windows have louvred shutters. A central stuccoed porch projects on the east front, with pilasters and cornice and a six-panel door with a plain fanlight. The centre part above the porch has pilasters and is surmounted by an open pediment with a coat of arms in the tympanum. Roof slate, hipped.
