Description

Pepper Cottage is likely a house dating from the late 16th or early 17th century. It is a two-story building with a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. An original axial chimney has a rebuilt shaft made of 19th-century red brick, and there is a 19th-century chimney on the right side. Small-pane casement windows were installed in 1986. A late 16th or early 17th century diamond mullioned window has been exposed and reglazed. A framed and boarded door, installed in 1986, is located at the lobby-entrance position. The interior has not been inspected.
