Description

Numbers 55 and 56 are a pair of houses dating from the 18th century. They are timber framed and rendered, with a thatched roof, and stand two storeys tall. Each house features two windows with old small-paned casements. Number 56, located on the right, has a mid-20th century standard window on the ground floor. Number 55 has an old plank door, while Number 56 has a boarded door situated in a mid-20th century lean-to on the gable end. The houses have a central stack, with the red brick shaft likely being original. The interiors have not been examined, but Number 55 remains unmodernised.
