Description

The Elmy Memorial is a chest tomb located about 2 meters north of the Church of St. Mary in Rickinghall Superior. It dates from the 18th century and commemorates H. Elmy, who died in 1738. The tomb is constructed of ashlar and features a moulded base and capping, which are inscribed with a relief shield of arms. The sides of the tomb are raised and fielded, and it has recessed angle pilasters with bellied bases.
