Description

Laburnham Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century, with 20th-century additions. It features a rendered and colourwashed timber frame set on a brick plinth, topped with a thatched roof. The building has a baffle-entry plan and consists of one storey with a dormer attic. A 20th-century gabled central porch is present, along with flanking gabled window bays that have casement windows. The gabled roof includes two 19th-century gabled dormers with leaded casements and cusped bargeboards. There is a ridge stack and cusped bargeboards on the gable ends. The north-west gable has a pantiled brick extension. Inside, the cottage has close studded timber framing.
