Description
This sundial, located about 40 meters east of the Manor House, is set in a 19th-century landscaped garden. It features elements from both the 18th and 19th centuries, constructed from ashlar stone. The sundial has an 18th-century classical stem topped with a 19th-century Gothic finial, both of which are octagonal in shape. The base is moulded, and the lower section of the stem is bellied with acanthus relief. The sundial is affixed to the south side of the necking, and there are masks on the 19th-century cornice that projects to the brattished base of the spire finial. The finial itself has foiled relief faces between roll mouldings and a crocketed head. This sundial is included for its group value with the Manor House.
