Description

This is an early to mid-19th century terrace of houses located on the west side of St George’s Street. The terrace comprises thirteen houses, numbered 25 to 35. The building is three storeys high with a sub-basement. It is constructed of white brick. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in plain reveals. Windows at numbers 25 to 29 have stuccoed flat arches, and the alternate window bays project slightly forward. Windows at numbers 31 to 35 have stucco cornice lintels and are separated by pilasters. A continuous balcony with restored ornamental iron railings runs along the first storey. The doorways have semi-circular fanlights and are approached by flights of steps with ornamental iron railings, running parallel to the pavement. The roofs are covered in slate. The terrace was restored around 1975.
