Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century red brick building, originally comprising nine window bays and now numbered 22 to 28 Buttermarket. The west end has a three-window facade and is painted. The building is two storeys high with attics. It has double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, set in plain reveals and topped with gauged brick flat arches. The ground floor has been adapted for use as shops in the 20th century. The roof is covered with interlocking tiles, with some original tiles remaining in the centre, and features two flat-headed dormers, along with a larger, central flat-headed dormer added in the 20th century. The building has a wood modillion cornice and a parapet. It forms a group with numbers 18 to 30 (even) and 21 to 41 (odd).
