Description

Nos 18 and 20 Buttermarket is an early 19th century building made of grey gault brick, featuring a parapet and a stucco cornice band. It has three storeys, attics, and cellars, with a five-window range of double-hung sashes that have glazing bars set in painted reveals. The central part of the building, which consists of one window range, slightly projects forward. Stucco bands run between the storeys, and the ground storey has 20th-century shops. The roofs are tiled and include three flat-headed dormers. Nos 18 to 30 (even) are part of a group with Nos 21 to 41 (odd).
