Description
The structure consists of gates, a gateway, walling, and a well head located 30 meters west of Theberton Hall. Built in 1852, it is designed in the Italian Renaissance style. The north entrance features a semi-circular arched design made of yellow brick with stone and stucco embellishments. The supports and arch display banded rustication, and there is a brick dentil course at the springing with scrolled consoles above. Stucco roundels are found in the spandrels, and a cornice with a dentil course runs along the top. Iron gates are included in the design.
Curved walling flanks the entrance, with twin blank arches on each side and piers topped with four-faced, semi-circular headed ornamental finial blocks. At the west end, there is a doorway with a rusticated surround. The square well head has a lower section made of yellow brick and an upper section of stone, featuring stucco mouldings. Each face of the lower section has a rusticated semi-circular arch with carved keystones and roundels in the spandrels, along with a brick dentil cornice. The upper section is pedimented and decorated with fish motifs at each corner.
