Description
Silverlace Cottages is a group of three dwellings originally built as a single house in the 17th century. The building was later extended to the north and south and subdivided into four cottages in the 19th century. It features a timber frame with plaster, and the gable end to the south is partly covered in brick. The roofs are made of plaintiles for Nos. 1 and 2, while No. 3 has pantiles. The central range is a single storey with an attic, while the north and south sections are two storeys. Nos. 1 and 2 remain unmodernised, showcasing 2-light and 3-light casement windows, two boarded doors, and two dormers beneath a catslide roof. In contrast, No. 3 has been modernised with mid-20th century casement windows that lack glazing bars and a door, along with mid-20th century rendered brick and pantiled extensions to the north and west.
