Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that mainly dates from the 16th century, with a later addition to the left of the stack and a further wing from the 19th century set forward. The building is timber framed with roughcast render and has a roof covered in modern plain tiles. It is two storeys high and has a three-cell layout with a cross passage entry. The windows are 20th-century casements, and there is a four-panel door on the right side and a half-glazed door on the left side. An internal stack and a gable end stack are located on the right side. Inside, the hall features a moulded beam and joist ceiling, with unmoulded joists at the front of the room, indicating that there was originally a screened passage in this position. The central room on the first floor has a moulded spine beam and is separated from the through passage by 18th-century fielded panelling. There is some good exposed framing on the first floor, along with two original arched doorways, one on each floor.
