Description

Longford House is a villa, originally known as Thorpe Grange, built in the early 19th century with additions from the mid and late 19th century. The house is constructed of gault brick, partially colour washed, and features slate hipped roofs along with timber pediments. It has an irregular plan with attached wings that have lower roofs and various brick stacks. The building stands two storeys tall and has scattered fenestration, including sash windows set in recessed frames with glazing bars. The entrance is highlighted by a parapeted brick porch that has a panelled and glazed door.
