Description

The Church of Holy Trinity in Bungay features a nave, south aisle, and south porch, along with a notable round tower. This tower is believed to have Saxon origins and has a 15th-century octagonal embattled top that displays the arms of Bigod, Montacute, Brotherton, Westminster, Bury Abbey, Spencer, Bishop of Norwich, Beauchamp, and Edward the Confessor. A gabled arch in the tower supports the claim of its Saxon date. The main structure of the church dates from the 15th century, and it includes an Elizabethan pulpit.
