Description
The churchyard wall, gate-piers, and gates located to the southwest, south, and southeast of the Church of St Andrew were constructed between 1866 and 1868 by Frederick J. Barnes. The walls are made of flat-faced rustic ragstone with limestone dressings and enclose two sides of the churchyard, with a gateway positioned opposite the church's south doorway. The low wall features embattled saddle-back coping. The two gate-piers, along with the terminal and corner piers, have weathered plinths, quoins, and cross-gabled tops. Each gable includes a round sunken panel with a recessed star shape. The ornate double gates are made of cast iron and feature a pattern of trefoils.
