Description

Nos 23 to 33 Chapel Street is a timber-framed building dating from the 15th to 16th century, with all the timber framing visible on the front and plaster infill. It consists of two tenements and has been renovated and restored. The building has two storeys, with the upper storey jettied across the entire front, supported by exposed joists. There is a range of six casement windows featuring glazing bars. The roof is tiled and has two ridge chimney stacks. The building is noted for its significant group value.
