Description

No. 55 on Friars Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys high and features three windows, including a central blank panel. The windows mainly consist of flush frame casements, with some being sash windows that have glazing bars. The building has wide eaves supported by widely spaced shaped brackets. A porch with fluted Ionic columns and a dentil entablature leads to the entrance, which has a door with a single large bolection moulded panel. The property includes a lawned garden. Nos. 53 to 57 (odd) form a group with this building.
