Description

Priory Cottage, located at 53 Friars Street, dates from 1692 and is likely from the 18th century, with some alterations. The building is two storeys high and features three windows, along with a one-window wing to the south. It has flush-frame sashes with glazing bars and is constructed of stucco, topped with a slate roof. The entrance includes a six-panel door, and there are two added splay bay windows at the ground floor. The cottage is situated south of No 55 and has a lawned garden. Nos 53 to 57 (odd) are part of a group.
