Description

Wain House is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered house located on the east side of High Street in Long Melford. It features a cross wing at the south end, where the south side has exposed timber-framing. The house is one storey with attics, and the windows are primarily double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The ground storey of the cross wing has been refronted with three double-hung sashes from the 20th century. The roof is tiled and includes two gabled dormers on the main block, along with a central square chimney stack.
