Description

Nos 35 and 37 on George Street are two-storey buildings that feature a timber frame and plastered exterior, with tiled roofs. They were re-faced in 18th century red brick and are colourwashed. The upper floor has three-light windows with transoms and leaded casements, while the ground floor has modern leaded casements and a shop front. The central upper window has an ogee head, and there is a wood modillion eaves cornice. The central door is topped with a flat hood supported by consoles. No 37 includes a small adjoining cross wing. These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 31 to 49 (odd).
