Description
Cooks Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered house of an L-shaped plan, with wings extending to the north-east and south-east. The north-east wing likely dates to the late 15th or early 16th century, while the south-east wing was added in the late 16th century. The house is two storeys high, featuring small casement windows. The roofs are tiled, with gambrel roofs at the north-west and south-east ends of the south-east wing and at the north-east end of the earlier wing. A central 19th-century chimney stack is located on each wing. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, and the south-east wing retains good moulded ceiling beams and joists.
