Description

The portico to the former Tendering Hall, designed by Sir John Soane in 1784, is now a standalone feature in a park, as the main building has been demolished. This red brick structure has a stone plinth, impost band, frieze, and cornice. The front features paired plain Ionic columns and a six-panel double door, topped by a semi-circular stone arched opening with a keystone. The sides have semi-circular stone arched window openings, also with keystones. The rear of the portico remains unchanged since the main building's demolition.
