Description

A mid-19th century malthouse, kiln, and granary range located to the west of the Store and Kerseys Building. The buildings are constructed of English bond brick, with gabled pantile and slate roofing to the malthouse, tall corrugated asbestos pyramidal roofs to the kiln, and a hipped slate and corrugated asbestos roof to the granary. The range has a linear layout, with the long malthouse situated alongside the kiln and granary at the south end. The west elevation of the malthouse features segmental-arched windows and a mid-20th century lean-to extension. East and north elevations also have segmental arched windows and doors, with some original 19th-century louvred windows remaining. Gabled dormers are constructed of weatherboard. The kiln building connects the malthouse to the granary. The granary has segmental-arched doors and windows to both its two-storey east elevation and its three-storey west elevation. The interiors were not inspected, but are noted to retain original germinating and granary floors.
