Description

Partridge Row, also known as The Barracks, is a range of timber-framed and plastered cottages located in Assington. The cottages largely date to the 18th century, though they incorporate 17th-century, or possibly earlier, timber frames. The buildings were renovated in the 20th century. The cottages are arranged as a continuous range, numbered 50 to 55. They are a mix of single-storey and attic and two-storey construction, with casement windows and boarded doors. The roof is thatched, with two dormer windows, and two central and two end chimney stacks.
