Description

Nos 110 to 118 Benton Street is a building dating from the 17th century. The main block is one storey high, while the cross wing at the north end has two storeys. The structure is timber-framed and plastered, with tiled roofs. The cross wing features a projecting upper storey at the front, and some of the timber framing is exposed on both the main block and the cross wing. Access to the doors is via small wooden steps with a handrail. This building was likely constructed by John Raven around 1636. Nos 90 to 118 Benton Street form a group.
