Description

The war memorial opposite St Gregory's Church in Sudbury was built in 1920 and designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield. It is made of stone ashlar and features a bronze sword and plaques. The memorial has an octagonal pedestal that rises in steps and includes bronze plaques listing the names of those who fell in both World Wars. At the top, there is a tall cross with a reversed sword on the front. The memorial was relocated to its current position from the top of North Street in the mid-1960s.
