Description

Wicker Street House is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 15th to 16th centuries, located in Kersey. It originally stood as a hall house with a cross wing added to the north end, and a further extension built onto the main block in the 17th century. The front of the building displays exposed timber framing. It is two storeys high with attics. The windows are casement windows with leaded lights, although one original window remains featuring diamond mullions. The roof is tiled, with a ridge chimney stack on the main block and an external stack at the south end. The interior retains exposed timber framing and original features.
