Description

Bower House is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 16th to 17th centuries, with a tiled roof and a prominent chimney stack. The house has two storeys and attics, and originally presented a three-window front; most windows are 18th-century double-hung sashes with glazing bars, although the east range now has modern casements. A small wing extends to the rear, to the north. A four-panel door is protected by a doorcase featuring pilasters and a cornice. The building has group value from this period.
