Description
This is a late 16th or 17th century building, now divided into several tenements. It is two storeys high, constructed with a timber frame and plastered walls, and has tiled roofs. A cross wing extends from the south end, featuring a projecting gable and a carved bressumer bearing the date and initials IMS 1675. The main block has a projecting upper storey supported by curved brackets, a central entrance passage, and large original chimney stacks with four octagonal shafts set upon a square base. The plasterwork on the front facade is in relatively poor condition. The building forms a group with Nos. 3 to 7 Church Street.
