Description

Manor Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. A wing extends to the east at the north end, faced in gault brick, and the south end, below the gable, is also faced in gault brick. The roof is tiled. The main block’s east front features a jettied upper storey supported on curved brackets with moulded capitals of former shafts. The building has two storeys with casement windows. A large ridge chimney stack is present, featuring sawtooth shafting on a rectangular base. Inside, there are good examples of exposed beams and ceiling joists, along with small wall paintings.
