Description
This is a group value property comprising numbers 22 to 26 George Street. The building dates to the 15th and 16th centuries, and consists of two cross wings constructed of timber framing and plastered, with tiled roofs. The east wing features a projecting upper storey supported by curved brackets with moulded capitals and shafts. The west cross wing has been raised with a lower addition to the front. The gable of the east cross wing has a bressumer carved with a billet pattern. The window arrangement is 1:2:1, with casement windows incorporating glazing bars. Timber framing is exposed on the front of the main block. Photographs are held by the National Monuments Record.
