Description

The stables to the north of Smallbridge Hall are a range of red brick stables built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, featuring yellow brick dressings. The building is two storeys high, with the central section slightly projecting forward. It has a large semi-circular arched carriage entrance adorned with rusticated voussoirs and pilasters, topped by an overhanging gabled roof that includes a bulls eye window in the gable. Each side wing has three windows on the upper storey, with a yellow brick band at sill level. The ground storey features double stable doors, and the roof is slate, hipped at the ends.
