Description

Maypole Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse, likely remodelled from an earlier building. The exterior is rendered and whitewashed, with a pantiled roof, hipped at the southwest corner. It has a two-story, L-shaped plan. The south facade has three windows arranged in unequal bays, featuring sash windows with glazing bars. A central panelled door is framed by a moulded architrave and a canopy. There is a blind window on the first floor above the door. The west gable is parapeted with an internal chimney stack. The east facade has 19th-century, 2- and 3-light casement windows with segmental heads on the ground floor. An entrance is positioned opposite the stack, and features a half-glazed door with a moulded door surround and canopy. The north gable is also parapeted, with a chimney stack west of the ridge line. A catslide roof covers a lean-to on the west side.
