Description

The White House is an early 18th-century painted brick house with a 17th-century wing at the rear, creating an L-shaped plan. It features a steep black glazed pantile roof with crow-stepped gabled ends, and the south end has an internal brick stack. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three bays. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and the ground floor includes margin lights and a central doorway that has a pilastered doorcase with an entablature and a glazed door. The 17th-century timber-frame wing at the rear also has a pantile roof with a gabled end and a large brick chimney stack at the junction.
