Description
Norbank Cottage, also known as the Old Post Office, is a 17th-century timber-frame building, now rendered. It has a steeply pitched gable-ended roof covered with new pantiles. The cottage is two storeys high with an attic, and has two windows. The first floor has 3 and 4-light casements from the 19th or 20th century. The ground floor has modern casements with glazing bars, and a modern glazed door positioned centrally. There are chimney stacks at both ends of the building. An attic window is located in the gable end. A modern, single-storey wing extends from the north side (right). A fire insurance plaque is on the south chimney stack. The interior retains ovolo moulded chamfered beams, along with other chamfered beams.
