Description
North Farmhouse is a 17th century or earlier timber-frame house that has been encased in red brick during the late 19th century. The rear of the building features some exposed plaster. It has a steep tiled roof with a gabled end and a central brick chimney stack that has been rebuilt with lozenge-shaped shafts. The house is two storeys high and has 18th century and 19th century casement windows. There is a timber frame wing on the east side, which forms an L-shaped plan and is also faced in late 19th century red brick. Inside, the west wing contains stop-chamfered ceiling beams, while the east wing features an ovolo chamfered ceiling beam.
