Description

Chestnut Tree Farmhouse is a long 17th or 18th century cottage made of plastered timber-frame, located on Forncett Walton Road in Forncett St Peter. It features a barn and stables at the east end, which are also constructed from plastered timber-frame. The building has a continuous pantile roof with gabled ends. The cottage itself is one storey with an attic, and includes 19th century and modern casement windows, along with two wedge-shaped dormers. There is an off-centre brick chimney stack. The barn is equipped with large double doors and a loft door situated above the stable. Additionally, there are lean-tos at the rear of the structure.
